Our foundation is composed of a family of indigenous people who are committed to preserving our culture, land, water, air, and connection to each other. We believe that our role involves not only protecting our own heritage but also working towards a sustainable future for all.

As indigenous people, we understand the importance of our environment and the impact that climate change has on our lives. We have seen firsthand the devastating effects of environmental destruction, and we are committed to doing everything we can to prevent further damage.

We welcome everyone to come and work with us in our fight against climate change. We believe that working together is key to finding effective solutions. Our foundation provides a platform for research, collaboration, and advocacy. We want to create new pathways forward that will help us to protect our planet and secure a healthy future for generations to come.

Our Priorities

  • Prioritize water management by implementing new regulations, policies, and practices to ensure clean and safe water for all.
  • Increase forest health through replanting, protecting existing trees, and promoting the use of sustainable forestry practices.
  • Restore, participate in the Redwood Creek watershed management by reducing sediment runoff, increasing the natural flow of water, and protecting water quality in vulnerable areas. 
  • Reduce the impacts of climate change on our environment by investing in clean energy solutions and promoting public education about conservation.
  • Provide Coho and Chinook salmon restoration efforts are crucial for the health of Pacific Northwest ecosystems, as these species play a vital role in maintaining the balance of the aquatic food chain. 
  • Conserve landscapes by adopting sustainable land management practices.
  • Our commitment to working with local agencies, partnering with tribes, and community ensure a sustainable workforce for Humboldt County, California.
